All About Chuck Salvatore
Find Out More
Chuck Salvatore grew up on the south side of Chicago, where his love of reenacting movies and the Cubs began. Seriously, I don’t remember this but at a young age, I knew all the lines for Rocky- Rocky IV and Superman The Movie. Chuck is a graduate of the School of Communications at DePaul University, after college he began a career as a general assignment news reporter for the “Southwest News-Herald” and various freelancing jobs and radio assignments throughout the area. Remember when then Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich was arrested, Chuck does cause he saw it over slow internet and ended up writing about seven to ten articles about this event over a few months. It was during this time that he took his first improv class at pH and fell in love with performing… again. He briefly had a stint as a pro-wrestling ring announcer, live commentator and referee.
Chuck continued his improv training by taking classes at iO, The Annoyance and The Second City. He joined a few independent improv teams, performing throughout the Chicagoland area: Two Episodes of Monk (that was the team name). He then began taking acting classes at Acting Studio Chicago, taking their core classes, scene study and others. He took the on-camera acting classes at The Green Room and is currently part of “The Practice” there.
Chuck made his big screen debut in 2017’s Landline. He is also starring in other feature films made by the team behind Landline. Since then he has starred in various short films, student films, stage performances and web series. Most recently he was in the Downers Grove Players production of "Goat Song Revel," where he played a comedic Satan. During the pandemic he began taking part in James Dumont’s On-Camera Workouts on Zoom. He is currently working on an Independent feature film playing a Mafia boss, everyone says he looks the part LOL. He is also in real life told at least once a month that he looks like Tony Soprano, his response is always, “Season One- Tony, right?”
Currently he is represented by Talent X Alexander. Besides acting he also still performs improv as a member of various teams throughout the city and suburbs as a member of Incognito Mode Improv (mind out of the gutter). He also enjoys writing scripts, enjoying the city, working out, reading books and most Chicago sports teams. He also enjoys making a fool out of himself on Instagram, TikTok and other social media platforms.
